Get your ticket →How can the circular economy transform mining? Vale S.A. and the Mining Hub invite you to discover practical experiences, challenges, and approaches to unlock value from mining residues in a collaborative discussion on how to make the mining sector more sustainable and efficient.
On 18 September 2026, from 09:00 to 10:30 (Brasília time, UTC-3) / 17:30 to 19:00 (IST, UTC+5:30), Vale S.A. and the Mining Hub will bring together leading representatives from the mining and metals sector to discuss how the industry can evolve to meet the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly changing global economy.
The event will be held in a hybrid format, with in-person participation at the Mining Hub (by invitation only) and free online transmission open to all interested participants. Registration will be open on 10 August.
During the discussion, industry leaders and experts will explore two critical questions shaping the future of mining: Does the Mining Business Model Have to Change? and Can We Unlock More Value from Waste? Participants will examine how innovation, collaboration and circular economy approaches can strengthen the sector's contribution to sustainable development while improving resource efficiency and long-term value creation.

WCEF2026 gathers forward-looking thinkers and doers to present the game-changers of the circular economy, held from 15 to 18 September 2026 in Gandhinagar, the capital of Gujarat, India.
The forum is jointly organised by the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra and the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), operating under India's Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Climate Change, together with global and local partners.
